Does anyone have a list of the 3U and 4U topics that are in the prelim and HSC course for 2020?
Thanks

I say check the NESA syllabi or a textbook for these.
there's loads of 3U topics, but the 4U topics r more obvious: Complex Numbers, 3D Vectors, Proofs, Mechanics and Integration

For 3u, newly added are

2d vectors
Differential equations
Binimial distributions
Forces, motion and projectiles

With,

Induction
Trig equations, auxillary angle formula
Calculus

Yr 11 is same

Combinatorics (with pigenhole principle)
Polynomials
Graphs (check 4u papers for practice questions)
Probability
Inverse functions
Harder 2u

Btw volumes from 2 unit was moved to 3 unit calculus and induction inequalities + parametrics of parabola are gone.
Simple harmonic motion and velocity+acceleration as functions of displacement have both been moved to ext 2 mechanics.

4u graphing was moved to 3u yr 11.

4u topics are,

3d vectors ( 3d eucledian geometry)

Proof (language of maths i.e. symbols, negations and logical equivalnce. Inequalities, proof of inequalities using induction, other abstract induction problems. Proving identities from any of the other topics are considered undered this topic. Prepare for some hard calculus proofs.)

Complex numbers (eulers form, e^iz, was added alongside some polynomial stuff)

Integration ( integration by sub will be revised here but is also 3u)

Mechanics (pendulum motion is gone. Old 3u motion has been added to mechanics).

Pretty basic. Easy band 6 in 3u and 4u.

CHECK MY ACCOUNT FOR HARD RESOURCES IN MATHS AND CHEM. ILL BE WRITING AND POSTING LOADS OF SAMPLE EXAMS FOR 3U AND 4U.
