May as well make use of this forum.
I've been having trouble finding information to satisfy both parts of this point: distinguish between plate margin and intra-plate earthquakes with reference to the origins of specific earthquakes recorded on the Australian continent.
Obviously intraplate earthquakes occur away from the edge of the plates, and plate margin ones occur where the plates meet. Newcastle is described as an incidence of an intraplate earthquake in my textbook, but it doesn't mention any others in Australia - should I be looking for more? Or is that sufficient? I've looked through all the sheets that I've got and couldn't find any more information, just wondering if anyone else could help.
