This is just a quick question for those in the know here.

The HSC requires you complete 4 subjects.

But do 4 subjects have to be used in the calculation of the UAI?

I, for example, decided to say a "fuck you" to maths, and now i have 4 subjects and 11 units (4eng, 3hist, geo, eco).

Do all four subjects have to count? Or can I only count "half" of the 4th subject? I say this because the lowest scaling subject for me would probably be geography, but if only "half" of that counted, then technically only 3.5 subjects (albeit with extensions) were counted in my uai.

If not then I've been doing an extension this year that has no way it can even possibly count!

you have 11 units and only 10 would count, so that means if eco was your worst subject for example then they would count all your english, all your history, geography and 1 out of 2 unit for economics.

They don't need to count all the units in that subject. eg. if you go badly in extension english 1 than it won't be counted but advanced english and extension english 2 will be counted.
