The problem is not about not doing maths/physics. Theres always bridging courses and if he can't cope that, he could'nt have coped with maths/physics anyway...

For now, to get over 60 UAI with those subjects. I recommend at least 70 in each of your subjects... Cuz i did a quick check with my subjects.

with 70 each, gave me 62.95 UAI, so yea considering the scaling of your subjects, aim for at least a HSC mark of 70 in each of them.

nah its not that hard to get a UAI of 60 if you try your very best imo. but in saying that approx 50% of people doing the HSC will get a UAI of less than 65 so i guess you never really know. it differs from person to person depending on their abilities.
