For a succesful 80's party you gotta have

Bon Jovi
Guns'n'Roses
Queen
Madona( i hate her but she was big in the 80's)
U2
AC/DC

As a rule, in general there weren't alot of great acts in the 80's.

Essay-Length Post On 80's Music.

DO NOT FORGET ANEKA- JAPANESE BOY!!!!!!

Or Olivia for that matter.. Apart from 'Physical' try 'Xanadu' and 'Twist Of Fate'.

Deborah Harry is an absolute must. 'I Want That Man' 'Sweet and Low' or from 'Blondie' try 'Heart Of Glass', 'Hanging On The Telephone', 'Atomic', 'Union City Blue', 'Rapture', 'Call Me'....

Prince- Pretty much anything from 'Purple Rain' most probably 'Let's Go Crazy' or 'Computer Blue'.

DIVINYLS! 'Boys in Town' and 'Science Fiction'. Chrissy Amphlett's voice is fabulous!

Classic 80's:

Bonnie Tyler- 'Holding Out For A Hero', 'Total Eclipse..'
Pet Shop Boys- 'Always On My Mind', 'It's A Sin', 'Heart'
Pat Bentar- 'Love Is A Battlefield'
Thompson Twins- 'Hold Me Now'
Psychedelic Furs- 'Love My Way'
Billy Idol - 'Flesh For Fanatsy', 'Rebel Yell', 'White Wedding'
Bros. - 'When Will I Be Famous?'
Carly Simon- 'Why'
David Bowie- 'China Girl', 'Fame', Fashion'
Dead Or Alive- 'Something In My House', 'Love Come Back To Me', 'You Spin Me 'Round'
Divine- 'You Think You're A Man' (I love this song to bits)
Duran Duran- 'Rio' and 'Planet Earth' <---- another MUST
Billy Ocean- 'Carribean Queen'
Steve Winwood- 'Valerie' (the song the sound byte was taken from to create 'Call On Me' by Eric Prydz)
Icehouse- 'Electric Blue' (a little more 'drepressing' than 'disco'..)
INXS- 'Original Sin'
Kim Wilde- 'Keep Me Hanging On', 'Cambodia', 'Kids In America'

Don't forget Kylie's 'Locomotion', 'I Shouls Be So Lucky', 'Turn It Into Love' possibly 'Better The Devil You Know' (although that's moving into early 90's..)

Madge- 'Material Girl', 'Like A Prayer', 'Holiday'
Men Without Hats- 'The Safety Dance'!!!!! (Craptastic!)
New Order- 'Bizarre Love Triangle', 'True Faith', 'Blue Monday'
Paul Lekakis- 'Boom Boom Boom (Let's Go Back To My Room') (Gay disco- quite good)
Sam Fox- 'Nothing's Gonna Stop Me Now', 'Touch Me (I want to feel your body) <--- I really, really recommend this one.
Black Lace- Agadoo

Tears For Fears- 'Everybody Wants To Rule The World'

George Michael- 'Careless Whisper'

As for Kate Bush... I'm not entirely sure you'd want to hear her at a party. I love her, but from what I gather she's a bit of an 'acquired taste'. But if you're at all curious 'Wuthering Heights', 'Running Up That Hill', 'Hounds Of Love'...

:D I heart the 80's.

One of my favourite Zeppelin songs of all time was released in the 80s.

Its a cover of Robert Johnson's Travelling Riverside Blues.

if u want his best stuff, head late 70s/early 80s

let's see, a 80s Party...

You've gotta chuck Grease in there...even if the movie was from the late 70s.
Michael Jackson is a must. Every party or disco can't go wrong with 'Billie Jean' Gets people on the floor each time.
Not to mention the guitar solo in 'Beat It'.
Also, The Way You Make Me Feel...
Wanna Be Startin Something - "Mamasemamasamamacoosa" Try saying that over and over again.
Also, Cyndi Lauper's "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun" and Madonna's "Material Girl" for the girls. lol

Xanadu...*sings*
