My brother's having his 21st party in 2 weeks, and i'm making some cds. I wanna make an 80's old school r&b cd, and google search is a bitch.

Anyone got any suggestions?

Stuff like "return of the mack" - mark morrison
"we don't have to take our clothes off"
etc

i dunno if these fit into rnb but.

kc and the sunshine band - shake shake shake, get down tonight, thats the way i like it

lionel ritchie - all night long

kool and the gang - get down on it

not very rnb-ish. but they'll get people dancing and they're in that old school vein.

or you could just put on a rick james cd.

thank god i haven't heard it. i didn't even know it existed.

it happens a lot. especially with dance music. hahah there are so many people exactly like you describe. so many songs from the 70's and 80's being redone these days and people think they're amazing.

anyway, whats that rnb song, goes i wanna get freaky with you/wanna lick you up and downetc . by a group called silk something like that. it was in the ali g movie. that might be good. its 90's but.

ah im no help with rnb songs lol.

when a thread asks "hey, whats some good glam rock/hair metal songs for a party?" well sir...............thats where i'll be a viking.
