do we need to know how to derive mrw^2 , like the question in the 03 paper??

If it was in the 03 paper, then obviously you need to know it.
As far as I know, 02 was regarded as an easy year, and 03 was regarded as a hard year.
I'm unable to get the latter part of Q8a out nonetheless.

I sat for the 03 exam and I found that paper was easiest out of the past 10 years papers!!! I was so happy last year there were little geometry questions.

However I should emphases a point that doing past paper is not a mean of telling you how good you are with question, but rather a mean to alert you your weekness.

yeh well I have the MANSW answers :p
but I figured I can't do it, so I'll save it until I've learnt polynomials.

Top of the state for 2003: 104/120 by Thomas William Clement.

Maybe people you might want to rethink the mark you "got" *cough*.

Looking at textbooks while doing the test at home doesn't count either especially without the time preasure.

Gotta be better than good to beat ppl like Thomas Clement n Jason Chung.

How'd you find out my mark for that test?

I didn't know it was publicly available?
