Hi! My name is Eunice Thi and I graduated from Meriden in 2022 with an ATAR of 99.95, placing 1st in NSW in the Music 2 and Music Extension courses. I have three years of experience teaching students from years 7-12, and offer tutoring for English Advanced and Music 2, as well as English/music lessons for junior years.
My students have: internally ranked 1st overall for English Advanced at Meriden (2025 prize recipient), consistently received marks of 95+ in the HSC including state rank equivalent marks, achieved top 5 overall rankings for English/music at competitive selective and private schools, and received 100% in assessment tasks.

Music 2: Internal rank - 1/16 and 1st in state

• Mod C: all texts
I am also able to tutor any text for years 7-11.
English Advanced Essay Marking - $50/script
Includes:
• Breakdown of strengths, weaknesses and areas for further improvement
• Suggestions to improve concision and sentence flow
• Suggestions to improve paragraph progression and integrity of essay argument
• Unlimited redrafts
My lessons will include:
• Personalised teaching tailored to your needs and school requirements
• Access to full-mark exemplar essays and model short answers, including state-ranking resources for both English and Music which are both my own and from other state rankers
• Discussion of unique and complex ideas developed and refined over 3+ years of teaching
• Consistent practice of a structured approach to tackling questions
• Access to extensive past paper bank
• A focus on exam strategy to maximise marks and minimise silly mistakes
• Support outside of lessons
Skill development and exam technique - whilst understanding the content is important, I place an even greater emphasis on developing the skills and mental agility needed for students to tackle even the most demanding questions. I have formulated a highly systematic, structured approach to crafting written responses for both English and Music, helping students to deconstruct the seemingly abstract nature of paragraph/essay responses. Exam technique strategies are also highly embedded within my teaching methodology.
Exam preparation - I focus on showing students how they should be preparing for their exams, tailored specifically to their needs. Given the heavy workload of the HSC, I place an emphasis on high-yield preparation techniques for students to maximise their study time.
