Is it possible for someone to state rank in multiple subjects including English and still not get a 99.95?

Yeah, you could state rank in 4 subjects (8 units) but if you get a really bad mark in your last 2 units, then obviously your ATAR will drop

Especially not performing well in English, as it can significantly drop your ATAR. All the 99.95 students would have guaranteed a Band 6 (can afford to be on the lower side of E4 if their other subjects are exceptional)

Yes it theoretically could happen but probably very unlikely since in most cases English is the subject of concern
