Hmm well i've only just finished reading the book but i may be able to help you out a little.
Well the first thing i noticed that was fair different to any other play i had read is the pace it changed language, which it said in the front part that this was to be done with neutrality, so the language is a technique of sorts. Another incredibly big one is the pace it changes time/ locations with some scenes especially those involved in Hamids head and with Brendan and Stephanie is incredibly quick, but i couldn't quite yet give a good summary of the play sorry.
