heres the thing. theres a chunk of ice left in my cruiser bottle. is the freezing pt of ethanol lower than water because if it is ill wait for it to melt coz thats where all the alcohol will be.

i cant figure this out right now but should i wait for it to melt or not?

If the freezing pt is lower for Ethanol, then the ice contains water. This is the case and thus waiting for the ice to melt would only dilute the drink

A bit off syllabus, but melting point of ethanol is substantially lower than water.

but there is hydrogen bond when ethanol is poured into water. So i think they would both freeze at a temp lower than 0

Hydrogen bonding is only an intermolecular force, which probably isn't strong enough to unify boiling points.
