ok.. its is just me or do the quote and the question have absolutely NOTHING to do with each other??

"Globalisation refers to the expansion and networking of large organisations accross the world, where influences on business are more diverse than ever. Management need to adopt strategies that will see them be successful in an ever changing business environment"

With reference to the above statement, outline how the nature and goals of business have changed as markets have become increasingly global. Use one or more case studies in your answer to demonstrate this change...

Just to clarify.. is this asking me to talk about management strategies for success AND the changing nature and goals of global business???

im confused... any help would be greatly appreciated.... if its really good, i will give you a lolly!

its saying that because of globalisation businesses have new goals. so talk about how goals have changed and management strategies used to adopt to these changes. also talk about how globalisation has affected the nature of business.

Im with ezzy85, you have to talk about the influences on global businesses, and what strategies are used to manage these influences.

so u talk about the specific influcences (e.g socail culture etc...) of global business and managing global business (e.g marketing, employment relations, fiancial, and operations) ? is that wat u talk about!
and wat are the GOALS that ezzy85 is talking about (that are in the sylabus )?

The little stimulus quote at the start of the questio is just to prompt you but really the answer the actual question. In the HSC
you don't need to refer to this little quote, anyway thats what my teacher said and he's been a marker for the past two years.

Hope it helps

i owuld try to shove a couple of words from the quote into my exectuive summ.....i owuld probably include *the epansion and networking of large organisations* somewhere in my exec sum.... but lyk mal said, you dont relaly have to.

now iam really confused. so basicly u talk about the first qoute not the second (with refrence to a bus...............)
and the answer we should include are why business expansion a globally, specifc influcences and managing a global business?
the second qoute is basicy telling taht we should include a business in the answer?

what i was suggesting was just you taake parts of a uote like a phrase (preferablly the most important keywords) and place it in the executive summary, that way you are showing that u understand the question and resrouces given.... to illustrate my pt.... say if u have to write a report for a biz losing $, bad makrket share etc, they would give you a table of market share position over time, financial posiion over time, and naturalli u would use the information somewhere in ur biz report, try to treat a quote in some respect, use parts of it, i dont think they will deduct marks if u dont use it (someone verfiy this please), but its always good to be safe.

and yang do u mean the second part of the quote? :) there is no second quote, just one quote....

i would mention firstly the changing nature of a bus eg drivers of gobalisation, and other dot points of the syllabas, then mention the other dot points in the gobalisation section, linking them to a case study.
ps. bus study essay questions tend 2 incorapate more than 1 topic
