about ACST211 tut (1 Viewer)

I'm a first yr actuarial student. I've heard from a fellow student that the composition of our ACST211's tut class will depend on our GPA in first semester. Does anyone know whether it is true? Thanks!

yep. that happened last time around.

they group people by gpa. so if you get have good gpa, you go top class. you have bad gpa, you go to bottom class. apparently they do so, to motivate you guys. =p

yeah they do this in acst200 as well.... i think it's good as you can sort of see where you stand in relation to the whole canditature.

heheh, yeh...its very demoralising....i know from experience.....=P
however i dont think its a good incentive unless they get one of the better tutors to take the bottom class....u can tell how "motivated" ppl were by looking at how many ppl turned up to tutes....lol

apparently they had problems with poor tute attendance with 211 in the past.
