My mother and I were talking about this when ordering some in bulk today.

When you break the seal of a bag of protein how long is it until there is a loss of nutritional value? does it deteriorate?

I'm not talking about complete exposure but a peg over the bag or something.

Pretty long time from what I remember, definitely more than a couple months. 4kg of powder lasts me anywhere from 1-2 months depending on my training so well within the 'use by' date... although I store mine in old snap shut protein buckets.
