hey guys im really stuck on this question

Sketch the Function

y = | x | + | x + 1|

y = | x | + | x + 1|

y=x+x+1= 2x+1
y=-x-x-1= -2x-1
y=-x+x+1= 1
y=x-x-1=-1 <-- Reject this one because y cannot be negative since it is absolute value

So now you can draw the graph

Yep and where they intersect at those sharp points are the critical points, where the gradient isn't defined
