Ok guys/gals for those who has completed the above mentioned subjects can you give me a low down on whats it's about, i gotta choose 2 out of the 4, and i wanna avoid as much theory as possible. Maths i can handle theory is a big CROSS lol.

avoiding that, no way i'm taking that as if 253 wasn't bs enough.

well i always thought that 300lvl acst units should be alot harder than any accg/fin units.

besides 253 isnt really that difficult, all the actuaries who have done it said its pretty easy.

and be reminded that accg329 is a preq for accg352, acst305 needs stat272(P) as preq.

nah 353 is a bitch, and I heard 329 is as well. BUt 329 is very useful since it lets you avoid 353 by being a pre-req for 352.

Its a personal choice, I would take 329 followed by 352 the next semester. If need be use ECON335/350/360 to fill in timetable gaps.

Ofocs actuarial will say 253 is easy, they learnt some of the stuff in 1st yr, where us finance people have to take it as it comes. And it depends Acst 201 i killed hands down, Accg 253 hopefully a Credit but i put in a lot more work for accg 253 and it still seemed harder. Accg353 is not good, pals doing it said it was bad.

acst300 is all theory so probably not for u if u dont like it. acst305 is mafs and more mafs. stocastic models mostly.

You have to do stat272 to get into acst305. And I wouldn't recommend that to a non-actuarial student ever.

BTW Acst305 is pretty fukn hard.

well wen i did 305 i had a friend doing 352 i fink their the 2 u can switch between the main difference is that 352 u learn theory 305 u learn how the mafs work behind it so like 352 they'll say rate of return on investment have been said to have been shown to be these models whilst 305 u make these models.

the original poster did say he likes the mafs things so it might be good from my friend he says 352 is very boring. i do know of non actuaries doing 305 and passing though its not an easy course like hello said by any stretch of the imagination
