the unit looks interesting. has anyone done it or know anyone who has?

i do need some questions answered:

how would you compare the difficult level of this unit to other 300 level subject ie accg310 or even busl320???

were the weekly assessments difficult and time consuming

what weighting were the assessments with the final exam there was a group assignment also.

do you need to pass the final to pass the course?

and most importantly did the final exam ask questions that were similar to the assessments throughout the semester or did they pull surprises on you asking questions you had never seen before? (they did this to me for accg310)

Hey buddy,

I have done, ACCG350. It is not hard. However, it does require as with most uni subjects to do the work consistently. Since a lot of the questions are of a practical nature, you need to understand concepts. Theory also is important in the understanding of the practical questions.

The assignment's overall weighting is about 25% although the LIC (Lecturer in Charge) is changing this semester so I'm not sure of what the break down will be. The final exam was worth 55% in 1st semester 2008 which is better than some subjects being 70%. A good subject to do if you want to pursue finance more so than accounting, in my view.

Oh sorry, I forgot to answer some Q's.

You do need to pass the final but as I said it's 55% and not 70%.
The final exam questions were heavily based on the tutorial work through the semester and the book was used more as a guideline.

i HATED the accg350 lectures .delivery is incredible painful, i just wanted to shoot myself. wish she would get to the fucking point ..i swear she has to spend so long explaing the most basic things, also she goes into long rants about her personal life and goes off-topic constantly.

to answe the quesiton do the tutorials each week and you be fine. i didnt use the textbook much

ACCG350 is an extremely useful unit if you apply yourself to actually learning the content.
