yep every room has net access. you can bring pretty much whatever you want! in my room i had, a laptop, printer, fridge, stereo, tv, etc etc. others have dvd players and vcrs as well. i seriously suggest a fridge!!!!!! if youre living in JOV you can then avoid those nasty Towers people who like to do late night shopping inthe JOV fridges or if youre a towers person you can at least have some piece of mind that noone will eat/ destroy/ perform random acts of grossness on your food!!!

ok so back to computers.. you just plug your computer into the net thing on the wall with a blue cable thing which is like $5 for a looooong cord (dont quote me on that!) and then you get charged 11cents per megabyte... im not sure how good a deal that is but everyone uses it that way and its the same price all over campus. At the start of the year they give everyone $4 credit. all csu webpages are free so you can check your csu email for free and the csu forums. you can also access the net in the computer labs and the library- although those computers are shit and usually slow. if you have a network card you can hook up to the network (befriend an IT geek.. its worth it!) and you can download movies and music and stuff which is cool- someone has usually downloaded the latest pirates and put them on the network.

LOL! well now I'm bringing my TV and DVD player! Thought it may have been a bit much, so got my brother to put a dvd player into my computer to watch DVDs, but if I can bring mine on campus, even better!

As for the network, my brother is prolly gonna come down with me, and he's my IT geek friend, LOL, he can hook me up to the network :D

So truly, compared to Bathurst, what is Wagga Wagga like?

i know that wagga has like 20000 more people in it than bathurst and the campus is heaps bigger too. they got the swimming pool.. but we got the golf course!! ive heard that the people who live on campus dont get lunch served because of the size of the campus or something like that.. dreamer can confirm!

both definately have the small community kind of personalised feel that you wouldnt get at a city university

just in time, we dont get lunch its called freedom from hunger where u can make your own food (sandwiches, toast fruit etc) we get cold breakie, hot brekie, dinner, supper, on weekends it cold brekie than hot brunch hot lunch and dinner.

All you need for network is a 5 buck cat. 5 LAN cable. i think charges are ment to be going down th 5cents a meg soon, yah, i spent 160 bucks on internet this year.

with the electrical stuff, at wagga its hard to fit it all in but i made my desk bigger with 2 milk creates (thanks dairy farmers) and a big bit of wood, that had my printer, tv, xbox and surround sound on it, then desk had laptop on it. the room for a bar fridge at end of bed. my adivice is bring lots of power cords and power boards, i had 3 power boards as there is only (in butlers) 2 singler outlets.

anyway hope this helps

Uggh....doesnt look good. Oh well, ANU for me then.
if applying at wagga, try st francis or st martins, you dont need to apply through accomodation, apply to them directly.

and there are places in town to stay.
