I guess you haven't heard of what CPA stand for, have you? Can't pass actuarial! You see, accountants are jealous cos they can't be actuaries (or, aside, earn as much =p). =D

And to put simply, after two semesters of Accounting, I don't ever want to do something so mindless and boring! In short, a waste of my time and money.

I don't mind Accounting either, otherwise I probably wouldn't have added on my combined degree. I prefer doing calculations and stuff more I guess in Accounting rather than the other crappy stuff .

no, we are doing variance analysis, motivation, quality control, project and resource planning and activity based costing and budgeting

bookkeeping is tafe, or 1st year accounting

Well, I guess you're lucky to be doing and enjoying Accounting. Most people I know at Macq think Accounting is boring and useless. Of course, they're doing different things in Accounting (compared to first year), but the textbook is just as thick.

haha accting @ uni is boring

but its nothing compared to with accting in real life work place and it isnt just number crunching.

and yeah $35K is salary for grads (with no experience) which is pretty good.
