how hard is it?
and how useful are the lectures? or would reading the txtbk or notes be good enough?

Well most people I know (including me) reckon its the hardest accounting subject you'll do at uni

I recommend you don't skip a lot of lectures, especially the latter half on consolidation as it's pretty heavy stuff and if you miss one lecture you wont get whats going on the next couple. Well, unless you're a super HD student, its pretty difficult

i did 2B and skipped heaps of tutes and lectures. I studied for 9 days hardcore for this one exam and just got through. it really messes up your study for your other subjects.

So best advice, go to all lectures and tutes and keep asking tutor for help (because you'll need help). Other than that, its not too hard to get a credit.

Yes on both counts, it's a core subject for the Accounting major

...maybe it's because i'm juggling 40 hrs/week of work and 2 uni subs at once?

2a (2522) is the easiest accounting ever
2b (2542) is the hardest
3a (3563) is the MOST boring.. *sigh*

auditting is not too bad
and duno about 3b yet.

mm Auditing is quite an easy subject - there's not much real meaty content
the final exam was stupidly easy, hence why I reckon I was "scaled down" to 77 (I felt I got an HD for that..)
