accumulated ranks??

hey guys.. have you got your accumulated ranks for your subjects yet??? i dont think there a post on this so whats everyones ranks???

I got my separate subject ranks but not a overall one (don't think my school does them).

whats accumalated rank? is that the same thing as the overall rank for all assessments? i havent heard of it before

yeh our school gave out ranks for each subject.. so i got 6 diff ranks in total.. and these ranks take into account every exam done during year 12 for each subject.. these are the ranks that are sent to the board of studies..and are not the trial ranks

Normally schools are not allowed to release these ranks until a particular date that is after your HSC exams. -Usually- the ranks they put on your report card is your trial exam ranks. Though a lot of schools do tend to ignore the rule and give students their ranks.

we are not allowed to get our accumulated marks .. our report marks will be our trial marks .. but our report ranks will be our accumulated ranks.

You can get your overall rank however not your overall mark until the HSC.
I got some of my ranks already.

well as far as i know ive been given all our overall ranks, just not the marks they going to send in. are you sure you're not allowed to give out overall ranks until the hsc exams are over?

My report will show my trial exam rank\mark and then my overall final course rank.

at my school they put the trial marks and the overall ranks

and they have already given us most of our ranks...except for a few subjects

our school just gives us our trial mark and rank...if we want to know our final rankings or marks in courses we have to wait until after the exams. except if you come first in something, because you get an award for it at graduation. but they call it 'outstanding achievement' instead of 'first place' to get around the rule, but we all know what it means.

i dont know why we cant have our rankings until after the exams... i mean i know that people at some schools might get all competitive and upset and try to have them changed, so i understand... but lol no hope of that at my school, the student population is generally quite apathetic about this sort of thing.

these arent set in concrete, since i havent actually been given my ranks, but these are the ones im fairly certain about.

English: 3rd out of 62
Ext. 1 Eng: 3rd out of 12
Drama: 1st out of 13
Modern History: 4th out of 32.

Biology and Maths i have no idea about... to hazard a guess i would say around about 4th out of 23 and 16th out of 64 respectively

14/30 - SOR2
3/16 - Modern History
?/44? (somewhere at the bottom) - Maths
