i having trouble with these question.

1. what process maintains the equilibrium of the potassium and sodium ions after the membrane potential returns to its resting levels?

2. How does a nerve fibre transmit information that enables muscle fibres to vary the strength of the concentration.?

3. How do nerve impulses carry information concerning different stimulus strengths?

4. What is a neurotransmitter and how is it involved in the function of the nervous system?

A neurotransmitter is stored in the synaptic knobs of the axons in the neurons and is secreted to create an electrical impluse in the next neuron which continues the nervous message.

for 3: different strengths are not signified but the FORCE of the action potential, but the amount. so for a stronger force - the action potential is not stronger, it just means there are more action potentials being fired at a faster rate
