Actual Error in Question 23 Algorithm

In the CheckPrime sub,

Code:
THEN j=j+i
Is actually meant to be:

Code:
THEN j=j+1
It astounds me that BoS let this through, it confused me for a good 2-3 mins. Good thing I still had a ton of time to spare.

I was wondering what the hell was up with that.

So what happens now? is that question annulled?

I think its safe to say it would have influenced a lot of peoples answers...

Well, technically that specific line is not linked to any question, what is important is the comment which talks about the function mod, which is indeed correct.

I really don't know what they will do, maybe give everyone an extra mark - but then if everyone gets it, then it serves no purpose.

And they can't just null the questions.

I think they will just ignore this, and say that it shouldn't have affected your answer, and it's true that it doesn't.

But I am certain it did confuse a lot of people, and waste their time.

It confused me for a good 5 minutes, I didn't even get that it was meant to be + 1 I just ignored it.

Shit. I just noticed this too. I went along with it being 'i', and it ended up spiralling into crap. I presume the BoS won't even notice this until they mark it, or maybe not at all. Maybe it's worth emailing the BoS or calling the Advice Line.

I imagine many people are going to be fucked over because of that... e.g. me.:bomb:

Perhaps it didn't directly affect the question, but theres doubt it indirectly influenced answers.

Like you guys, i probably spent a good 10 minutes looking at that algorithm. Looking back i wouldn't hesistate to say it probably cost me a couple of marks in later sections.

IMO, if an error in stimulus unfairly denies the test-ee (dick joke) a fair chance at answering the question, it should be proverbially kicked out of the camp...

What, how did it affect your answer(s) ???

Also, the advise line runs until the night prior to the exam. I will email BoS about this now I think.

Plunkdogg, can you please explain to me how this affected your answers?

I just need someone explain it to me, please. So I can tell BoS what retards they are, etc.

Because it took us a while to figure it out and lost us a valuable 5 mins in the exam. :)

I actually didn't notice that, in fact I don't think I ever read the line.

Still, I can imagine getting confused by that for quite a few minutes.

Same, I didn't notice it at all. Shouldn't have effected the answer, but I can see it causing confusion.

Either way, I liked that question.

Yeh, I can understand that, and like I said, that also happened to me, as I was very confused and tried to figure out what was going on.

But from Plunkdogg said, it would seem that his actual answers got severely affected, and I'm wondering how that happened.

Also, BoS doesn't appear to have a contact email =/
