hey i know im only in first yr and theres a long way to go but i was wondering around when (meaning in wat yrs) should I start applying for summer vacation positions/internships to be considered seriously as an applicant.

2nd and 3rd years when you've gained some exemptions by the end of 2nd year and hopefully all of them by the end of 3rd

Only 53 people responded, suggesting that maybe only half of the graduates responded. So out of the group who didn't respond to the survey, it would seem logical to assume that there'd be a higher proportion who didn't find a full time position than those who did.

There's no harm in applying for summer jobs even after 1st year. Get a taste of it. See if you will enjoy it.
