How does the course work? can we only choose one major as there are multiple majors i am interested in.

It depends on your university, majors and your supervisor.

Generally you can do 1 major and 1 minor or 2 majors. Check with your university.

Yes but you have plenty of electives left over after 1 major in chemistry or biochem, then use all those electives for your other specialisation.
Really, your majors are not even shown on the UNSW Testamur. I wouldn't worry too much about it.

Aren't there any CHEM courses in S2 you can do, in addition with S1 courses to form a Chem "major"?
I'm sure you can start doing 3rd year chem courses in your second year given what you have been able to achieve in first year Chem subjects. I know someone who did 2 CHEM3XXX subjects in his second year (He also topped Higher Chemistry).

From the information I got from Dr.Jason Harper...in the session 2, for advanced science I need to do at leat two research courses (CHEM3101 and CHEM3201) in session 2...no chem coursework courses in session 2...Survivor39 said:

I'm sure you will be fine doing 3rd year Chem in 2nd year.
That same guy I mentioned also did 2nd year Chem in first year and got a HD. If he can do 3rd year Chem in 2nd year, so can you.

Not BABS3301, it is BABS3306...3301 is for third yr...Survivor39 said:

Oh, there is a 3306 now?!!!! Seriously!
Brett is fantastic - highly recommended. But his research group is huge, consisting of 20 researchers. Not sure if you like big labs or not - other than that he is very supportive and gives very good career advice. Marc's lab is small but like you said mostly bioinformatics - his lab is very new though.

yep, I heard only very few positions offered per yr (around 2?) and u can't find on handbook for this course?Survivor39 said:
