Anyone know the main advantages of the advanced engineering program at USyd? Is it heaps better for graduate opportunities and such?

You get an "Advanced" on your academic transcript and get to put it on your CV as well, but honestly marks > an Advanced degree. If you can do well without the advanced degree, you'll be fine. If you do the advanced degree and get low marks, you won't be better off. It's not heaps better for grad opportunities, but you'll have something that not everyone else has, and many of those can be the difference between getting the job you want and not getting it.

You do not get "advanced" on your transcript. I think the poster amundies is confusing with the advance science degree in the BSC.

Advanced engineering at USyd is a series of extra or alternative subjects. They tend to be more multi disciplinary and entrepreneurial.

One advantage is that in those subjects you are in a smaller group with equally bright and motivated 98 atar students.
