so ive found doing 4 unit that there isnt anytime to focus on 2 unit stuff. Does this really matter provided I have a sound knowledge in 2 unit but outstanding in extension 1 & 2?
PS i did better in my extension 1 test then 2 unit test for yearlies...

At baulko they make people do it from the beginning and if their 4u marks arent that great they make them sit as many 2u exams as possible. However our trial exam was on the same day so by trials youre either in 4u for good or not. I never paid attention to the 2u stuff we learnt in class because it wasnt really that helpful with anything

well actually, don't neglect 2U, because some of the harder 2U stuff could be used in 3U assessment tasks as well (ie. the harder applications of 2U maths is assessable in 3U)

However, for most of the time, as long as you can do around 90% of the 2U questions, you should be fine, also provided that your understanding of the concept is solid.

not a very good move. A lot of the 2U applications can be used in 4U maths as well, so I swear, don't neglect it.
I recall that I saw a projectile motion question in a ruse 4U trial and to find the parabolic path, we needed to use the skills from the locus. So that's a reason why you shouldn't neglect 2U.

Even if you hate some topics, you still have to do it, because it will be assessable (who knows when, maybe in the next test, trial or the HSC)
