c'est la vie
hi people, i've been getting mixed reviews from my friends about whether i should drop or not.
Some context...
Throughout yr 11 in english advanced i've been barely passing 11/20.
My best section seems to be creative with a 16/20, however the same story ditched my in prelims due to me not being able to adapt to the stimulus, and cuz i apparently talked abt death and i shouldn't.
My best section in prelims was Short Answer which i didn't study for at all and got a 13/20. I failed both my essays. overall i failed prelims by one mark, ten marks below the average.
Now the advice i've gotten so far is
1. Don't drop, because doing shit in Adv doesn't mean you'll do well in Std. They both require the same effort so you'd rather be in advanced and do shit (cuz of scaling & alignment) , than in std.
2. Drop to std, there is less competition and it's better than advanced content wise (not sure what they meant by this)
now my opinion is stay in advanced because in the class is very engaged in the learning, majority of people in std don't "care" about the subject and thus the class isn't as learning based. And i know for a fact that if my class is like that i'm not gonna put the effort to study.
I'd like some on advice on what you guys think would be better for me to do, my end goal is to get a 93 atar hopefully.
thank you :3
