I'm currently in year 11 doing
English Extension
Modern History
Bio
Music 2
Drama
Mathematics

thats 13 units
I am dropping drama for sure coz i suck at it, and picking up something for ext.
im either going to do Ext 2 english or extension history, or both. If i do both i will drop bio as well and go down to 11 units.
My question is: Is it advisable to do both english ext 2 and ext history?
and also if i drop down to 11 units, would that be too few units (especially if i hated one and had to drop it).

any help is good help! cheers.

Depends on whether you think you can cope with the workload. I don't do either subject, so I can't really tell you how much of a workload there is, however I would imagine it would be quite a bit.

About 11 units, it is enough units to get the HSC and UAI, and it really depends on how many units you want to do and whether you think you can do well in that amount of units.

hmm i can't say which one would be better but i'm sure 11 units would be fine. Heaps of people i know are doing 11 and there are a few doing 10 as well. i'd only suggest doing both if you're reaaally organised cause i've heard they're both a lot of work over the year.

i'm in a similar position - cant decide between history ext and english ext 2. english seems more fun...although i doubt i'll feel that way by the end of it :p

Yeah, I'm in a similar position too...

Though I'm leaning towards ext 2 english because I'm better at creative writing than historical writing...

But I think I will do both than drop which ever one I don't like.

At the moment I'm doing:
English ext 1
English Adv
French
Drama
Anc History
General Maths
and Bio

I'm tossing up between doing 11 and 12 units. It's a hard choice...

My friend is planning to do Extension History and Extension 2 English with 10 units.

It is unlikely they will let her. But yes.

All of the teachers advise against it because 'it is so different to anything you will ever have done before.' They want her to be able to drop it if it is possible.

I will be doing eleven units with extension two english.

Is it possible to keep 13 units in yr 12? Will the workload be too much?

Personally anything over 12 units is suicide.
I'm already a little worried about my subject selections which is totalling to 12 units at the moment.

Currently doing:
- English Advanced
- English Extension I
- Maths Advanced
- Maths Extension I
- Legal Studies
- Economics
- Society & Culture

For 2007:
- Engilsh Advanced
- English Extension 1
- English Extension 2
- Maths Advanced
- Economics
- Legal Studies
- Society & Culture

If I could I would have 11 units because that's the best balance but since Extension 2 English is only a major work hopefully I can handle these 12 units : )
