last year that would have scaled to 87?
so basicly it's the equivalent of a mark around 89/90 in chem, 90/91 in phys and 93/94 in business studies (last year)

Yeah I just downloaded Lazseeker, and punched in my HSC marks...
The results were:

1. Business Studies (2u): 80 -> 60.6368 (Top 29.6%)
2. Legal Studies (2u): 78 -> 72.8937 (Top 15.15%)
3. English Advanced (2u): 74 -> 57.6 (Top 68.18%)
4. Economics (2u): 73 -> 51.6 (Top 72.14%)
5. General Mathematics (2u): 72 -> 48.88 (Top 34.99%)

Scaled Aggregate: 291.4 UAI: 72.85

Just how accurate is this program tho? like will it be something extremely similar to this or what?

The reason why LazSeeker is no longer available is because it is only applicable to results from 2001.

It most likely won't be as accurate for 2002 or even 2003.

more than likely lazseeker will be giving higher uai's, due to 2001 hsc marks being in general, lower than later years for some subjects.

eg a 80 in chem in 2001 is like an 88 in chem in 2002 (and prolly similar in 2003)

im thinking though, if u line up your percentiles, rather than your hsc marks, with the same percentiles in the lazseeker (i forget if it shows it or not) by changing hsc marks to get those same percentiles, this would be a closer estimate, and would assume that the candiature in each subject is of similar ability to 2001, which may be the case in a lot of subjects.

We have not yet decided whether to add the same functionality to SAM.
