I"m new here so bear with me!! hehe

I'm in desperate need of any help available regarding psychoanalytic and archetypal readings for Gwen Harwood's poem, Alter Ego

Does anyone have anything that can help me????

our teacher gave us a sheet on the variant readings, she got it from study guides and things like that
psychoanalytical with alter ego mainly looks at the search for the understanding of self that can actually only happen at the end of life...when we die, and meet our alter ego "face to face".

Yeh the psychoanalytical reading has to do with search for self and the exploration of the psyche and so on.
what is the archetypal reading? our class has only done the psychoanalytical and romantic reading for this poem.
