Yes you can get there just buy doing the UWS college, as it is has been purposly built as an alternative entry scheme for UWS. However you will need to contact the university about the requirements, etc.phunk said:Is there any way for to get there by just going to college? Is it possible to do a college course and do a CA course? What's the difference between college and tafe?
Wooz said:If you live in western sydney you recieve a 5 point UAI reduction. Also another 5 points of if you do Buisness studies and get band 5 or 6, etc at school. Last year's cut-off for Blacktown was 60.10. Making the cut-off around 50.10 if you reside in greater western sydney and do Buisness studies and get band 5 or 6.

If you uai is going to below 55/50 their are a number of pathways, namely uws college and unitrack. You will need to speak specifically to the university about your requirements, etc: http://future.uws.edu.au/pathways-to-uws

You will have to look into these things yourself and contact the university: "If you have any questions about alternative pathways, call the UWS Course Information Centre on 1800 897 669 or email <A href="mailto:study@uws.edu.au"[/quote">study@uws.edu.au"
Doing TAFE first isn't such a bad idea - you'd be surprised how many subjects you get credited for the uni degree.GreenLeaf said:The minimum cut-off for all UWS courses are 60 for HSC students. So really the scheme doesn't apply if your UAI is <60.
But it's possible to do Tafe and try to transfer in.
