I did: local op shop job, suit and pants for $5 :D
two of my friends rented bright pink and yellow suits and jackets

EDIT: Should have said $5 instead of $50

Wearing a formal dress would be different.

My bf wore a bright blue suit to his yr 12 formal... it actually suited him! Then to my yr 12 formal he wore a gangster suit (i.e. black pinstripe and a white gangster hat). Just go shopping and see what there is!

Boo- Yah!
You know, I ran around the school in a pair of shorts exactly like those once as a gag of sorts ;)

instead of a bow tie or normal tie, wear a cravat...they look cool! get one to match the colour of ur partner. or maybe you could wear a fully black suit with black shirt and tie, and then a bright red pair of shoes or something. Oh, and tails look mad too....very formal, early 20th century kind of ones.

I wanna go dressed like a pirate. Puffy shirt, pirate hat, eyepatch, etc.

You could always go in your birthday suit.

yeah, going as a pirate would look so good! especially if you get the hair, scars, parrot, shoes, etc. haha how'd you go about finding it all anyway?

how about going in a pink suit?

I was going to go in my cultural formal wear (Viet) but my Gf didn't agree =( So now i gotta go find a shirt and tie ><
Shirt and ties are easy to find. Hmm I have to find a black tie for my Grad dinner, going all black shouldnt be that bad.

I wouldn't have the first clue in how to find it. It would be cool, though.
