Am i able to use a External Harddrive at UTS (1 Viewer)

hey i dont have a laptop but i have an external harddrive that plugs into the USB am i able to use that at uni?

this is even a stupider question i have an internal HDD but its in a box so i can remove it to place in other computers, am i able to use that at UTS anyway?

I dont see why you wont be able to use the external harddrive. Unless your caught downloading shitloads onto it using the uni computers, i dont see the problem there.

The uni comps have slots for removable hardrives. However i dont think they are compatible with all types. The IT building supplies their own removable hardrives which are compatible with the pc's (in building 10)

if you're using the USB external HDD's, beware that some computers may not give u enough priviledges to do the 'safe removal'

yes they do Ian.

all you do is single left-click the icon in the taskbar. a little menu should pop up allowing you to do a safe removal.
