Hey guise, well I'm wondering if you do a regular cat B subject and one VET subject and do the exam for the VET Subject, are you eligible for an ATAR.

12 Units btw. (I think).

English Stan
Gen Maths
Software Design and Devel
Music
IT (Vet)
Visual Design (normal cat b)

Will them subjects allow me to receive an ATAR?

Hello in saying visual design is it I.T. Graphics? if it is, IT graphics is regarded as a Cat A subject from 2010(including 2010). So no worries there if thats the case.

Nope, visual design. Cat B.

But i thought you only need 5 cat A subjects? And I Heard 1 vet can count as a cat A.

You're eligible.

You need 8 units of Category A subjects (which you have). The other 2 units that your ATAR comprises of will come from your I.T. exam (VET courses equate to Category B).

Also, correct me if I'm wrong, I always thought that visual design was a Category C subject ?

Visual Design is a category C subject.

If you continue to do the other 5 subjects they can be counted for an ATAR.
