out of 670 exams, around 70 achieved band 6's

with respect. You need to work harder.
How can you not get 100% in general maths.

Insofar as non mathematics subjects - my advice is this: go to the [real] bored of studies website, and download their examination ruebrics, past exam papers and marking guides.

These will give you a good idea of what you are actually being marked against. Once you have this info, it will give you a good guide as to how to shape your answers; relevant key points to focus on; and thus your study priorities.

in regards to the mathematics - its easy, just chill out and relax, and spend your weekends learning it until you get 100% down pat. That way you are freed from stressing over it when the hsc comes around.
