Well, I'm sure most of you would agree that i haven't been blessed with the upcoming HSC in terms of my exam timetable;
  1. 19th October English P1
  2. 22nd October English P2
  3. 23rd October Business Studies
  4. 29th October - Mathematics
  5. 30th October - Information Processes and Technology
  6. 31st October - PDHPE
  7. 1st November - Software Design and Development
As you can see essentially the last four days of my schooling career are a living hell.

My question is, do you guys have any suggestions / ideas (Study Tips) as to how i should approach a timetable that is so condensed?

I would be greatly appreciative

Thanks,

Adam

if you get your study done, then you wont be screwed, regardless of how many exams are crammed together.
better organisation of your time would yield good results.

read on the way to school
read on the way home from school

put notes next to the toilet so when you decide to read a newspaper read your notes

instead of wanking to a hottie, wank to IPT

uses colours

your brain remembers in boexs and groups so after you make your notes, put them in little groups and box them up

record yourself and sleep yourself to business studies

seriously, we both got screwed over by the study timetable people

instead of SDD ive got ext maths on the same day as PE and chem somewhere in the week beforehand

just take each test as they come. thats what i did for my trials, where i had an exam every day for a week and then maths and ext maths on the same day, and i did alright in most of the subjects

Lol you are screwed. Unless you're very talented and very good at time management and then you'll be okay.

lol. Mine starts a little like yours.

19Th oct. eng adv.
22nd end adv.
24th chem
29th ext 2 maths (also my b'day ;) )
31st ext 1. maths

How you would approach it: Leave nothing for the week period in which you're studying for your exams. Everything needs to be done PRIOR to the first exam starts. Extra days between them you need to go over your notes + review the syllabus.

You have ENOUGH time to do this. Loads of time. You're definitely not screwed.

We should make this a contest for who has the worst timetable, mine would be right up there:

19th Oct English Std #1
22nd Oct English Std #2
29th Oct Mathematics
30th Oct Biology
30th Oct Information Processes and Tech
8th Nov Information Technology

Now i only do 10 units yet i end up doing 60% of my hsc in 2 days. Its just fantastic!

Lol i have no idea what makes you think i haven't studied, i just want specific tips to approach it. My notes are all completed and organised into seperated folders with sub sections for notes, past papers, spare paper.

I have basically finished all my study, however what i am asking is instead of studying the conventional way, should i study in any particular way that would suit the layout of my exams.

It's not like i haven't started studying yet. My final trial exam is Maths tommorow

Cheers,

Adam

yeah you have a few exams in a row, but it could be much worse, you could be having two exams a day or something (that was my only complaint of my hsc timetable, rest wasn't that bad at all). its hard to satisfy 10 000 odd students so you get what you get and they tell you early so you can prepare for it. :)

tips: don't panic and make the most of the time you have got, especially in stuvac. remember, its not over until it's pens down in the final exam.

good luck.
