Hey does anyone know what kind of issues i can look at for my major works if I look at the American Civil War?

Personally I think if you're looking at a major event, then stay away from the cliché - make the event your least concern when constructing your question.

So for example I would look at something like photography during the American Civil War and how that shaped the differing historical views on the Civil War which ultimately gives rise to the question of whether photography can be used as a part of historical evidence. (You can even look at films)

With a question like this it becomes more History Extension based rather than Modern History. So you can easily discuss how the differing views leads to the idea of 'is history subjective/objective?' Through this you can also embed your own personal view on history and its nature - something which History teachers tend to like.
