lol! I didn't even know there was such a series!
I don't actually know WHERE I came up with Ellie Belly. I think I was just out of ideas as to what to put for my email, and belly rhymed with Ellie...

This was my favourite song for most of my childhood. I think I heard it when I was 6 or 7, and I use to make my parents tape it over and over on 5 tapes so I could listen to it over and over.

Of course I never knew the significance, so I don't know why I loved it so much as a kid lol. Awesome song though

A long long time ago.. I can still remember how that music used to make me smile and I knew that if I had my chance, I could make those people dance, and maybe they'd be happy for a while... woooo... on that note, I'm going to listen to this song!

What I think is most enigmatic and interesting about 'American Pie' is the fact that McLean refuses to say what it's about, letting the listener interpret it for themselves.

I loved the lines about the Rolling Stone's concert where someone died, and Elvis' decline. Made it sound so much like a story in it's own right before finding out about what they represented.
