Does anybody know what the band 6 cut off was last year, or what it usually is?
*Huge sigh of relief*For most humanities, it's usually around mid-low 80's.
Shit! is that true? I thought it was around 88 (atarcalculator puts anything less as 80's).For most humanities, it's usually around mid-low 80's.

This, but remember, aligning standards can vary. For most humanities, it's usually around mid-low 80's.
Well, if you think about it, the 21-25 in an essay is classified as a band 6 response. Is this the same for Modern history?
mid 80's, so that's like 21 in each section? Doesn't that seem a little easy?
That's the essay though... what about the Pompeii and Herculaneum section where it's really not all that difficult at all to get 23-25?Well, if you think about it, the 21-25 in an essay is classified as a band 6 response.
Maybe, maybe not. Maybe your school marks easier and 21/25 seems to be an easy mark to get. Maybe my school marks harder and 21/25 is hard to get. Until we do the HSC and get our marks back, we won't know if our perception of 21/25 answer is the same or different, so it can be easy, it can be hard. At least the markers attempt to give marks, not take them away. Good luck thoughIs this the same for Modern history?
