my friend is obsessed, she even started to draw anime styled characters (manga issert called).

slam dunk is funny, faint image only though havent see it for yonks.

love the style of drawing - but all i've seen of anime-type stuff is the stupid kids cartoons that are on in the morning and stuff from the Animatrix...........

and it's so funny coz in the forums i go to i've got anime avatars up and ppl r like "cool....i love [Insert long Japanese name here] do u watch....[insert name of random Anime Movie/comic/TV show etc]

Dragon ball z-er ish type cartoons with little plot and annoying characters...........

And WHAT is with all the shows revolving around collecting tokens of some kind/battleing ppl with tokens of some kind?!

eg chips, crystals, cards, spinning tops, animal/creature type things, etc etc etc...........?!

commercialisation, mate. If the show is a success then they will earn twice the profit by selling merchanery...like yugi-o cards and such

yeh i watched about three quarters of that. Although parts of it were rather graphic, i must say that the psychological themes certainly had an impact on me and the twist was well played out. excellent psychological thriller...shows that animes can have just as much impact as any blockbuster

i've seen two episodes...they talk REALLY slowly trying to be concise on the words or something...seened a bit weird cos afterall their just playing magic cards no?

heard oh my goddess is a really girly anime?

yu-gi-yoh...hmmm...still seems a bit too weird for me...probably cos the episode i saw where battle ones and they were like...my card with blah attack points combined with blah..." oh god...sounds like a tutorial

does it actually have a plot or is it a bit like pokemon journey type style?

well...unlike pokemon...it's actually got a plot!

well..cheez tv is currently got the 2nd season of yugioh which is even better than the first..! =D

but basically its about a guy named Yugi Moto and his friends are all caught up in playing an ancient egyptian card game called duel monsters.

Eventually, Yugi solves the "millenium puzzle", some old artifact related to the game, and now he can tap into the spirit of an old egyptian card-duelist to help him. His father, a very good duelist himself, gets beaten by the creator of the card game: Maxamillion Pegasus.

Pegasus then captures his grandfathers soul, with the help of his millenium eye, another aritfact related to the game.

Yugi must then enter a tournament to beat Pegasus in a card game and free his grandpa.....

well..i found this sypnosis on the net and actually...

im not sure about the "father part" cos im usually getting ready for school at this time of the morning...

the 2nd season's even better..cos it talks about the 7 millenium items...and blah..

neway...u gotta watch it! =D
