Anomalies and paradoxes in "The pursuit of Happyness" (1 Viewer)

I currently have a video essay due about the tensions between the individual and collective human experiences, with regards to the merchant of venice and a related text. For a task we did a while ago i chose "The pursuit of happyness" because of the strong themes around the human experience, but now im doing the task in struggling to come up with paradoxes found in the film. I have a few ideas, but i am not sure whether they are even paradoxes, can someone help me out here? If there is nothing then i can just change related texts to something else.
