hello : ) trials are over and starting to get results.. here are my ranks xD

english adv: 3/80
maths ext 1: 14/50
maths ext 2: 14/40
economics: 8/29
legal studies: 4/20
english ext: 5/20

school rank is about 162 but the previous year was about 72? In my opinion i think my cohort this year will do quite well. : )
ranks dropped in a bit of my areas but i think i'll be able to get a band 6 in most of my subjects.

That's a very large MX2 cohort for a school ranked like yours (no offence or anything). Is it a big school (or senior school)?

Thanks guys and no offence taken! My school allows all people to try 4u and most drop out but others choose to stay? Don't know =P

Um.. If I got a band 6 for all my subjects would I be able to get 99?

I think if you got 90 on the dot for all your subjects, it probably wouldnt be enough. Try experimenting with an ATAR calculator to find out just how much you need for 99 - they are usually pretty accurate.

You probably would just hit miss 99 (98.50) with all Band 6 on the dot 90 or 45 (for 1 units). I don't think you will Band 6 in all subjects since you will actually need to be quite good to get Band 6 in MX2 but rank 14 at a school ranked 100 might not be enough. Some subjects might balance that thought such as English. You will need an average of roughly 92 in all your HSC marks.

So at this rate I'll get about 90-96? And if I work harder could potentially get a 98? Because 98 is my goal
