Sorry...but Im getting curious.

My school is apparantly disadvantaged so I recieved a letter in October saying that I had been automatically assessed to be eligible for the EAS. It said I need not take any further action.

Do I have to wait for confirmation from different Unis that my EAS application has been accepted? ( well really its not mine..anyway..) Or is it automatically accepted?

If so, can anyone project how much this disadvantage will lower cut-offs by, for say ...I dont know...commerce (liberal studies) at usyd (97.something last year)?

TIA :)

Someone has to know? please!?

I got a letter from Macquarie today saying my EAS was accepted...

Do i assume that USYD would accept? I mean its a school disadvantage...how could they accept some and not others? I dont get it....

patience. there's something you need to know: all uni's don't say, oh let uac figure out how much extra points each person deserves and accordingly they can get into uni courses.

the fact is each individual university decides how much uai points extra you should deserve. for example, for your eas application usyd might decide that you deserve 5 extra points, but maquarie might decide that you deserve only 4. its how it works, each uni decides on each person, your extra pointed uai isn't a constant for all unis.

i got a letter today from maq saying i got accepted for eas scheme and got 4 extra points added to my uai...this doesn't mean uysd will give me 4 extra points.
