Hey ppl,

Another qn of locus: Find the equation of the locus of a point that moves so that its distance from the line 3x +4y+5=0 is always 4 units.

Using the perpendicular distance formula,
|3x+4y+5|/sqrt(32+42)=4
|3x+4y+5|=20
So either 3x+4y+5=20 or 3x+45+5=-20, these are two lines parallel to the original line 3x+4y+5=0 and are on either sides of it :)
