I do feel like the answer is B, however can someone please explain why it should be b?
They are both monoprotic acids, which means the ratio of base (which will release just a single OH) to acid will have to be 1:1. The strength of the acid in this case does not matter, just their concentrations when reaching equivalence. Thats why its B.
Because when they dissociate in the following: (not showing water cuz it makes it simpler to understand, and no states, just to get the concept in innit)
CH3COOH --> CH3COO- + H+
OR
HCl --> Cl- + H+
Both acids pop out just the single H+ which neutralises with the OH- to make, WATER !! OH- released by the base because;
NaOH --> Na+ + OH-
