Hey, are there any people out there who cannot stand this overrated, superficial, pretentious series? It is fake, does not at all depict Orange County and most importantly, it is sucking in young children into thinking that that is the way for a teenager to live (btw, they don't even look 16!), in luxury and wear Chanel handbags...oh, man its disgusting...

I cannot even watch one episode of it....mainly cos the time slot of the OC corresponds to 'The Bill'!

i'm not a huge fan of the oc but i believe it is a good show on aussie television. like all my friends watch it and all that. so amisha amisha has never seen an episode. how can u judge something that you havent even seen. right she may have seen the promos of it, but i have also and i couldnt stand the show until i watched the christmas ep and yea i dont mind it. so all i'm asking you is to watch it before you go on juding it

i used to watch it until i realised it was just a bunch of melodramatic rich kids who create their own issues and think they've got the hugest problems in the world in their otherwise perfect lives.

Wealthy teens living in mansions by the beach side with millionaire parents. The OC doesnt consist of relationships but rather love triangles....wait correction, love-circles, because- everyone-is-in-love-with-someone-else-and-that-someone-else-just-happens-to-be-in-love with-some-guys-mum-whose-in-love-with-some-criminal-and-is-a-pornstar-and-whose-ex husband-is-another-millionaire-who-is-dating-some-young-model-like-female-whose-flirting-with-some-guys-fathers-adopted-son-whose-brother-is-a-over-exxagerated-stereotypical-nerd-whose-also-in-another-love-cycle-and-his-friends-dad-is-gay-and-then-theres-another-love-circle-which-in-the-end, well...there is no end.

I'm surprised that unlike long lasting cliche-riddled soaps, something hasnt been burnt down yet. But they did do the whole car accident thing.

AND I DON"T EVEN WATCH THE SHOW.

Its basically a teen-targeted series that follows The Bold n The Bueatiful (with the exception that when someone proposes the suspense isnt carried over the whole season until you find out the answer). Also similar to Beverly hill 902150 but to todays teens its "cool" and your lame if you don't watch it. Even guys watch this show for that same reason.

And here we see the standard archetype of an OC enthusiast. Note the lack of a plausible, well-considered argument and the inability to apply correct grammatical conventions and to spell undemanding words correctly.

As much as you whine, as much as you say the OC sucks etc... there are MANY people who do like it, so get over it and just let people enjoy what they watch.

there is a whole OC thread for you to post in, which is stickied!

keep in mind, there are also people who DON'T LIKE the show and we're not attacking people who like it. we're criticising the show full-stop, and it's not like anyone in the thread is out to stop people who watch it from enjoying it, so get over yourself!
i think every one in this thread has the right to say they don't like it without having someone complain about it, especially considering this is an "anti-oc" thread.

I watched it when Channel Nine piloted three episodes and canned it. When it went on Ten outlined as a brand new show all the teens started watching you knew it was going to be crap. Way too predictable is probably it's worst problem, and after that it's bad characters. One of the worst shows on tv.
