So for my Applied Finance degree I can either choose to do either Accg100 & Accg101 or Accg105.

I chose to do Accg100 this semester but hated it, so instead of continuing to go on to do Accg101 next semester I would prefer just to do Accg105 instead. However, I tried to enrol into accg105 for next semester but I wasn't able to because accg105 and accg100 are anti-requisites. I knew they were NCCW courses but I thought I would be able to do both and only have one of them count for credit points.

Is there anything I can do to make it possible for me to do accg105?

I just had the exam today and it was easier than I expected so chances are I will pass :( So if failing accg100 allows me to do accg105 I'm going to be pissed.

It seems like you'll have to do ACCG101. Either way it's one more unit of accounting.

Why did you hate ACCG100 so much? It's not that bad.

Yes, I'm an idiot - but why do NCCW exist?

I want to do MATH130 but I can't since NCCW Mathematics Band 5 or over - is it to prevent people from doing too well :-/?

Because its essentially covering the same content, and yes it would be unfair, and not really 'learning' if you're merely regurgitating pre-existing learnt content.

But say I fail accg100, will that allow me to do accg105?
because I know a guy who failed accg105 and did accg100 after it.

But I don't see how failing accg100 and then repeating gives you more of an unfair advantage than failing accg100 and then doing accg105.

Yeah I can see where you're coming from, and I guess my statement is more for those that passed or completed the relevant course in high school

Yeah, I've got a mate that wants to do that. I'll ask him if he found out whether he could do that or not.
I found the test pretty decent, I was shitting myself over bank reconciliations beforehand hahahahaha

im pretty sure its accg100&101 vs accg105
so if you fail 100 i reckon you'll be able to enrol in 105 or just do 101, it wont be that bad...

ahh 100 bank reconciliations, those were the days :)

How can he proceed to 1B while failed 1A :haha:?
My suggestion: If anyone fails 1A, quit his degree(s) in Finance, Accounting or whatever relates to Commerce at once. No hope to continue...
105 may be even easier than 100.
Bank reconciliation and Cashflow Statement + Reconciliation, my old days .

But if I pass accg100 will I still be able to do accg105?
