I've constructed an essay on this text and 2 others, but I don't know whether to focus more on "representation" or the actual "powerplay - who wins/loses power", or if I should balance the two out. My teacher told me to just focus on representation (language, techniques, etc) but that makes absolutely no sense, because this module is called "POWERPLAY"!!!!

And now that i've spent 20 hours or so just on this one lousy essay i feel that im ruined. i want to finish a perfect structured skeleton essay before the holidays finish, but i am filled with doubt because i do not know what to do in constructing an essay...i now dont know how to start my intro, dont know what "themes" to use, dont know what scenes will be good for "representation" and all the crap like that.

You should focus on how power and powerplays are represented. That's the crux of this module - techniques and language features that are used by composers to represent power and powerplays.

I understand. How many scenes should I focus on for each text? Am I allowed to "jump" from scene to scene when explaining HOW the power/powerplay is being represented?
eg: if i talk about 6 types of powerplays am I allowed to use 6 short scenes from my prescribed text, and then 3 for each other text?
