...and insofar as time is concerned, it really depends on what you want to do. Check out the program here and plan your day -- perhaps leave Sydney at 8, get to Canberra by 11, spend a couple of hours at UC, grab lunch, then visit ANU in the afternoon.

If people looking at maths and/or physics are interested, I can probably turn up in the afternoon and give you guys a tour. :) Post if you're interested and I'll look into opening up labs and stuff like that. No guarantees. :p

I'm goin, luckily its the weekend after all my major works are due, I'm trying to get friends to come with, though they're reluctant and I may even go myself.

I'm very interested in ANU, but I want to see the campus and see if I really want to go back to Canberra - the prospect of living there is both appealing (living in another town, on campus) and unappealing (leaving friends and the big city to a town like Canberra)

And Canberra's only 5 hours if you take a long break and leave in peak hour, and I spose a 90km/h limit wouldn't help.

I really want to go to ANU but I'm not sure if they have Education courses (i.e. teaching). Does anyone know? If they don't, I think I'll have to do my science one there then switch unis

Don't worry all of the arts courses start at the basics, beside which you can do arts courses whilst doing another degree eg science.

I don't think that the ANU has education courses, your best option thus being to either do a B. Science at ANU and then a Dip. Ed. somewhere or a B.S. and then a B. Ed. at UC.

EAS? Transfer after a year of taking straight arts? If I were you, and this is after talking to quite a few people doing IR, weigh up your options carefully. The IR degree is very restrictive in what you can take (and you if you really want to you can major in Pols or IR in a standard arts degree), and you may end up enjoying something like Arts, Arts/Asian Studies (Spec) etc much more.

Not to mention that IR's status as 'the new black' (my lecturers words not mine) has inflated the UAI of the named specialisation....

So what was the easy way?
